We had free air conditioning on Saturday; our afternoon high temp at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was 73 degrees. That’s just two degrees shy of our average Sept. 10 high in the Twin Cities.
Temperature trends
Low temps late Saturday night/early Sunday morning will be in the 40s across much of Minnesota and western Wisconsin. There’ll be some 30s in parts of northern Minnesota, especially from around International Falls to Hibbing.
Sunday highs reach the lower 70s in many areas, with 60s in northeastern Minnesota plus far southeastern Minnesota:

Temps turn summery as we go through the work week. Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to be in the mid 70s on Monday and around 80 Tuesday, followed by lower 80s Wednesday through Friday.
We could see above-normal temps from next weekend into the following week. The NWS Climate Prediction Center shows a tendency for above-normal temps in Minnesota and Wisconsin from Sept. 18 through Sept. 24:
Saturday night/Sunday rain chances?
Scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm are possible in northeastern Minnesota and far northwestern Wisconsin Saturday evening. An isolated shower is possible Saturday evening in west-central Wisconsin and southeastern Minnesota.
On Sunday, a low pressure system will spin periods of rain over southern Wisconsin. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale (NAM) forecast model shows the potential rain pattern from 6 a.m. Sunday to 11 p.m. Sunday:
NOAA’s High-Resolution Rapid Refresh (HRRR) model shows a similar rain pattern Sunday and Sunday evening:
The HRRR model shows a shower chance in the far southeastern corner of Minnesota late Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening.
