Local filmmaker and author Keri Pickett is one of the many in northeastern Minnesota who have lost property to raging wildfires. While Pickett was not in Brimson, Minn., during the fire, a friend sent images of the cabin.
“It’s just flattened,” Pickett said. “I could see the kitchen items in the rubble.”
Pickett talked with MPR News host Cathy Wurzer about loss of her cabin and the Camp House fire near Brimson on Morning Edition.
