A return to seasonal temperatures is expected, with highs climbing into the lower 70s. Our stretch of nice weekend weather continues, featuring mostly sunny skies and light winds. Rain chances return to the forecast Tuesday into Wednesday.
It’s been a long stretch—nine consecutive days with temperatures falling short of our seasonal highs, as shown in the graphic below.

Sunday marks the first day in a while that temperatures will warm to our seasonal average, reaching the lower 70s. Meanwhile, northwestern Minnesota can expect some readings in the mid-70s.

Another day of sunshine is expected, followed by the development of afternoon cumulus clouds and light winds.

Low temperatures will drop into the 40s, with the Twin Cities area hovering around 50 degrees.

Memorial Day is expected to bring promising weather with sunshine and temperatures in the 60s and 70s.

Our next chance for rain comes Tuesday and Wednesday, though forecast models show some disagreement on whether we’ll see any precipitation at all. If rain does arrive, we could receive up to a quarter of an inch.

A summer-like warm-up is expected in the second, with highs climbing into the 80s once again as we approach meteorological summer.
