Fall officially began this week, and if apple picking isn’t your thing, maybe a cocktail fits the bill. Chris Montana and Keyah Mizer from Minneapolis distillery Du Nord Social Spirits stopped by to share some fall inspiration with MPR News host Emily Bright.

Recipe: The Apple Old Fashioned
½ oz Pronounced Apple
2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 orange peel or orange slice
2 oz Mixed Blood Whiskey
Garnish with cherry and orange peel.
Muddle orange peel or slice with bitters and Pronounced Apple Liqueur in rocks glass. Add ice, then Mixed Blood Whiskey. Stir to chill. Garnish.
