A clipper system and cool front will be moving across the state Friday, creating the chance for spotty showers and thunder this afternoon. Saturday will be dry and Sunday will be very warm.

Most of the state will be slightly cooler Thursday. Friday brings another chance of spotty showers. The weekend is looking rather warm with highs near 80 on Sunday for some.

El Niño helped drive global average temperatures to new records over the last year. Forecasters say it's waning, but that 2024 may still be one for the record books.
Brief funnel clouds? Scattered thunderstorms into Tuesday evening
A few thunderstorms will move northeast through Tuesday evening. There’s just enough rotation in the lower atmosphere that a few cells could produce brief small funnel clouds, but most would be weak and brief and not touch down.
