A steamy summer air mass blows into Minnesota this weekend. Highs will reach 90 degrees in much of southern and western Minnesota.

Steamy air pushes back into Minnesota Friday, especially to the west. The weekend will be hot and humid with some spotty storm chances, especially Sunday night into Monday.

So far Minnesota is on the eastern edge of the main smoke shield. But high-level smoke could edge into Minnesota over the next few days.

Thursday will be beautiful and mostly sunny. Heat and humidity push back in Friday into next week with highs occasionally near 90. The next thunder chance comes late Sunday.
