Lots of sun Friday; some weekend thunder chances

Temperatures will be cooler Friday and Saturday. The chance of a few showers and thunderstorms returns to the region over the weekend. Expect lots of sun Friday with occasional clouds moving into the picture over the weekend.

We’ll enjoy temperatures below 90 and with more comfortable dew points Friday and Saturday. The risk of some showers and thunder increases late Saturday.

Scattered showers, thunder drift west to east across Minnesota overnight

Blustery south winds continue to blow in warmer, more humid air. Northern and western Minnesota will see scattered showers and thunderstorms overnight and what’s left will drift southeast across the state.
