We have an update on which parts of Minnesota and western Wisconsin could see a shower or thunderstorm this weekend. Forecast highs have been updated for this weekend and the coming week.
Thunderstorms at times overnight and early Sat.; severe weather is possible
We’ll start the weekend with a few thunderstorms. Severe weather is possible in some areas Friday night into early Saturday. We have details of that, plus a flood watch in central Minnesota and cooler weekend temps.
Hot Friday; severe thunderstorms likely later, mainly north
Thunderstorms linger across central Minnesota Friday morning. Heat and humidity will build and feed strong, severe thunderstorms later in the day beginning in the northwest.
Hot and muggy Friday with areas of thunderstorms
Thunderstorms across central Minnesota early Friday. Then hot and muggy with more strong thunderstorms Friday afternoon beginning in the northwest.
Hot, muggy with some storms; heat breaks late Saturday
Temperatures, dew points and thunderstorm chances will all rise over the next 24 hours. Western and southern Minnesota will see 90 degrees again Thursday with isolated thunderstorms.
Heating up Thursday with spotty storm chances ahead
A comfortable early morning will lead quickly to a hot afternoon across much of Minnesota as 90s return to many places. Dew points will also be increasing and we have some spotty storm chances Thursday night into Saturday.
Comfortable Wednesday evening; hot Thursday with spotty storms ahead
After a nice break Wednesday, the heat returns for many on Thursday. We have a comfortable Wednesday night first with lows in the 60s south, 50s north. Dew points also increase the next 36 hours with spotty thunderstorms possible Thursday night into Saturday.
