Goodbye vortex, hello mild weekend; wintry mix Sunday night into Monday
Friday highs will be in the teens in about the northeastern half of Minnesota, with lots of 20s elsewhere. The far southwest will see some 30s. Saturday highs will be in the 30s in the southern half of Minnesota, with mostly 20s in the north.
Polar vortex recap; a timely warming trend!
The coldest air is moving away, and temperatures will rebound dramatically over the next few days. This is good timing, with the weekend just ahead!
Arctic chill’s last gasp; much warmer this weekend!
Most of Minnesota should see highs Thursday afternoon in the single digits below zero, with a few spots in the far north staying a bit colder. Highs Friday reach the teens in about the northeastern half of Minnesota.

Dangerous wind chills Wednesday; much milder weekend temps
High temperatures will be in the 20s below zero in much of west-central and northwestern Minnesota Wednesday afternoon, with teens below zero elsewhere.

Extremely dangerous cold and wind chill into Thursday
Expect Twin Cities temperatures to fall to around 15 below by late afternoon. Wind chills around the state will be in the minus 30s and minus 40s all day while the northwest corner will be in the minus 50s.

Fluffy snow ending; brutal cold on its way
Low temperatures on both Wednesday and Thursday mornings are likely to range from from about 25 below in the south to around 40 below in the north. The Twin Cities could be down around 28 below on both days.
