Heat advisory in southern Minnesota; flood warnings to the north
Highs in the lower 90s and dew point temps in the 70s will probably lead to heat index values over 100 degrees at times Thursday afternoon, especially in the Twin Cities metro area and points south and east.
Steamy for sure; maybe stormy
Dew points will climb into the oppressive low and mid 70s in most of the hottest areas. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for much of the southern half of Minnesota for Wednesday afternoon and evening.
