Families of men killed by police settle with BCA over investigative files
Five Minnesota families who lost loved ones in police shootings have agreed to a settlement with the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. They said the BCA withheld data about the investigations that it’s required to make public under the Minnesota Data Practices Act. The BCA settled for $165,000 and changes to their processes.
