In July 2016, St. Anthony, Minn., police officer Jeronimo Yanez fatally shot Philando Castile during a traffic stop in Falcon Heights, a St. Paul suburb. The world watched the aftermath, live on Facebook. Yanez was charged in Castile's death. Jurors found him not guilty on all charges on June 16, 2017.

Diamond Reynolds, girlfriend of Philando Castile, accused of assault with a hammer

The Washington County Attorney said the 27-year-old West St. Paul woman and two others attacked a woman, hitting her with fists and a hammer. Reynolds gained worldwide attention for live streaming the aftermath of the shooting of Philando Castile by a police officer last summer.

Judge clears path for officer's trial in Castile shooting

Judge denies request to release Castile shooting squad car video

The Minnesota ACLU sued in September saying that squad camera video in the Philando Castile shooting needs to be released. The judge disagreed, citing the active investigation.

St. Anthony cop's attorneys request new judge in Castile case

Lawyers for Officer Jeronimo Yanez filed a notice Thursday to remove Ramsey County District Court Judge Edward Wilson. In Minnesota, attorneys can strike one judge from a case without giving a reason.
