A fatal amusement ride accident this week at the Ohio State Fair has prompted the Mall of America to shut down one of its rides in Nickelodeon Universe.
The State Patrol says the driver lost control of the car and it broke through a guardrail on the 41st Avenue bridge, plunging 100 feet or more to Interstate 94 and bursting into flames.
Columbus fire officials say some of those injured were thrown from the ride. Gov. John Kasich has ordered all fair rides shut down until they can be inspected.
