The University of Minnesota has abruptly canceled the premiere of a film about the dead zone in the Gulf of Mexico. The film focuses on pollution from farms, golf courses, and other sources in Minnesota and throughout the course of the Mississippi River. Tom Crann talks with environmental reporter Stephanie Hemphill.
The film was scheduled to air on Twin Cities Public Television in early October, but the director says she was notified last week that the university's public relations office had cancelled the airdate.
Environmental reporter Stephanie Hemphill has been looking into this, and joins me now.
