Life of a comedian

Sometimes you just need a good laugh, and who better to turn to than a comedian?

The popular TV series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” on Amazon Prime has brought new attention to just how hard it is to pursue a career in standup comedy.

Brandi Brown is a Twin Cities comic and writer who regularly emcees at Acme Comedy Company in Minneapolis. She’s also the co-host of the podcast "Bill Corbett's Funhouse."

Bryan Miller is a comedian, originally from Illinois, who quit his job as a newspaper editor to move to Minneapolis to try standup comedy in 2008. He performs across Minnesota, including at the Acme Comedy Comedy in Minneapolis.
