Spring is coming, and even if you can’t enjoy your favorite warm-weather activities because of stay-at-home orders, there’s plenty to explore at home. That’s where our feathered friends come in.

Wondering which birds you’re hearing and seeing in your yard, or where you can go to find interesting birds but not a lot of people?

Expert birder and author Sharon Stiteler, aka the “Birdchick,” talked with MPR News host Angela Davis about how to identify birds commonly seen and heard right now in Minnesota. They also discussed how to attract new birds to household feeders and what, if anything, can be done to keep the squirrels away.
