Meet Andrew Krueger
Andrew Krueger is a morning news editor for MPR News.
Andrew started at MPR News in 2018, first as weekend editor and now on weekdays in the early morning, where he helps start the newsroom's coverage plans each day. He also occasionally writes for MPR News, often about weather, transportation, history and the outdoors, and contributes photos to MPR News.
Andrew graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he was also a writer and editor at the student newspaper, The Daily Cardinal.
Before moving to the Twin Cities, Andrew spent nearly a dozen years in Duluth, working most of that time at the Duluth News Tribune while spending as much time as possible exploring the North Shore and other parts of the region. He has also worked at newspapers in Wisconsin and the Juneau Empire in Alaska.
You can find Andrew Krueger on Bluesky, Instagram, Threads and X.
