Abortion rights boosted with defeat of Kentucky amendment
Kentucky voters have rejected a proposed constitutional amendment that would have removed any protection for abortion rights from the constitution of their deeply red state.

Voters in battleground Michigan have enshrined abortion rights in the state constitution, joining reliably Democratic California and Vermont on election night. It’s still too early to call an anti-abortion measure in Kentucky.
Polls close, counting starts in potentially historic Minnesota elections
It’s all over but the counting. Polls closed at 8 p.m. Tuesday in an election that could bring historic changes in Minnesota from counties to the state Legislature to the U.S. House. People in line at 8 p.m. can still vote as the tally begins.
