Mankato players and Hoffner to mesh again
Minnesota State Mankato football players now say they are ready to return to practice, now that they've been heard. That pretty much sums up a statement from the players yesterday, a day after they refused to suit up for a spring practice because of a sudden change in who will be their head coach. Todd Hoffner was re-instated to the job, after two years away from the University. An arbitrator ruled he had been wrongly fired and could have the job back if he wanted it. He did, and he replaced interim coach Aaron Keen on Wednesday. MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Howard Sinker, a digital sports editor for the Star Tribune, about the situation.
