Olympic curling dominated by Minnesotans, Wisconsinites

Dozens of athletes from the upper Midwest will compete at the Olympic games, but no sport will be so dominated by Minnesotan and Wisconsinites as the U.S. men's and women's curling teams.

Speculation about Mauer deal growing

Twins fans are buzzing this morning because of a report that Joe Mauer may be ready to ink a 10-year contract with the Minnesota Twins. The 26-year-old catcher was the American League's Most Valuable Player last season and his current contract with the team runs out at the end of the 2010 season.
