Milder Pacific breezes arrive tomorrow. Temperatures push above the thawing point several days into the weekend. The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts guidance for the Twin Cities suggests six days in a row at or above the thawing point.
Tuesday snow?
It's still a week away, but the overnight European Centre model runs have come around to the Global Forecast System's notion of significant snow potential next Tuesday.
Let's see where the maps are in a few days.
Subzero shot ahead?
By late next week, the longer range outlooks favor another subzero shot for Minnesota.
There's about two days of consistency on this now, a growing sign of forecast confidence that we're not done with subzero air just yet. I still don't buy -20 at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, but another shot of -10 looks increasingly likely.
