Looting, arson leaves south Minneapolis residents with few options for groceries
Days of unrest in Minneapolis following the killing of George Floyd have left numerous businesses along Lake Street looted or destroyed. Those businesses include several grocery stores — and for people living in south Minneapolis, that means there are now few options for groceries.
MPR News host Cathy Wurzer talked with Terry Mahowald, general manager of Longfellow Market, for more. The store along 38th and Lake Street is still standing.
