During the summer months, we get periodic updates on Morning Edition from wildflower gurus Phyllis Root and Kelly Povo, who travel the state to find out what’s in bloom. This year, winter hasn’t put a stop to their adventuring.
Root and Povo were up on the North Shore recently and sent us a postcard from Cascade River State Park, as they hunted for signs of leaves and seeds still visible in the snow. Root and Povo are the authors of “Searching for Minnesota’s Native Wildflowers.”
