Many communities across Minnesota saw temperatures that were the warmest they’ve ever been for being only so far into March. One notable entry is Theilman, which reached 78 degrees Fahrenheit.

According to Climatologist and Meteorologist Mark Seeley, the warm temperatures have resulted in dry air conditions. Because of high wind speeds, higher temperatures and drier air, the National Weather Service, over concerns of wildfires, issued Red Flag Warnings on Tuesday and Wednesday.

MPR News Host Cathy Wurzer spoke with Seeley about dry air and the already record-breaking March in their weekly weather chat.
