Minnesota is seeing more record-high temperatures as March continues. But we’re in for some colder weather in the coming week.

According to climatologist and meteorologist Mark Seeley, our warm March weather is breaking more temperature records, including highs of 75 in Milan, 74 in Rochester, 73 in Redwood Falls and 68 in the Twin Cities earlier this week.

“We’re barely through the first half of the month and we’ve had 115 maximum record temperatures set in the [state] so far this month,” Seeley said. “Temperatures around the state are averaging 10 to 14 degrees above normal.”

MPR News host Cathy Wurzer spoke with Seeley about the continued warm weather and Minnesota’s drought outlook in their weekly weather chat.
