Small solutions to the big phosphorus water quality challenge

Wastewater in the Halstad city facility, pictured Feb. 15, is treated using bacteria. By adjusting the bacterial activity, the city reduced phosphorus and nitrogen in the treated wastewater released to the nearby Red River.
