Life-saving medical care in jeopardy as USAID cancels contracts with Minneapolis agency

An underweight child
An underweight child is seen for treatment at an infant stabilization center in Sudan run by Alight and funded by USAID dollars. Alight provides lifesaving care to malnourished children in remote areas of Somalia, Sudan and South Sudan not reached by other organizations. The centers are at risk of closing after the U.S. government cancelled its contracts with Alight.
