She said it's time for a swift drawdown, now that more Republican lawmakers are joining Democrats in pushing back against the Trump administration’s aggressive tactics in Minnesota.
"The border agents are being pulled out of Minnesota, Customs and Border, and now we need the ICE out. That's my number one goal: to get ICE out of Minnesota,” she told Morning Edition.
Klobuchar is a likely candidate for Minnesota governor but has delayed a formal announcement during the upheaval over the immigration operation that has led to protests and two civilian deaths.
