A blustery and colder air mass is squeezing out scattered snow showers Wednesday. The system has produced accumulating snow as forecast in much of western Minnesota, including the Red River Valley.
The State Patrol said its troopers were busy responding to crashes and spinouts Wednesday morning, especially in western Minnesota where the snow was heaviest.
It’ll be a crisp day with gusty winds, scattered snow showers and cold temperatures mostly in the 30s and upper 20s. Friday may bring some peeks of sunshine.

After a wet night, most rain will lift north by Tuesday afternoon. Rain showers will turn to snow in northwestern Minnesota as colder air works in. We’ll all see snow showers Wednesday.
