Wet pattern wipes out drought in much of Minnesota
A wet spring pattern in the past few weeks has wiped out drought areas in much of Minnesota.
More sunshine and seasonable temperatures finally return across Minnesota through most of the weekend, then cold weather makes a comeback next week.
Friday stays dry and mild, with most of the state seeing more sunshine than Minnesota has had in days.
Temperatures turn milder through the weekend, as more sunshine returns.  The seasonable weather is short-lived though as colder weather returns next week.
Minnesota finally sees a few more breaks of sunshine Thursday, and temperatures continue to nudge slightly milder.
Lake ice out 2 to 3 weeks earlier than average up north
Many big lakes are now ice-free in central and northern Minnesota. It’s happening two to three weeks earlier than average. Many lakes showing near-record early ice out this year.
