Easter weekend will bring out the smiles with balmy temperatures and not much wind. Sunshine will be abundant for Saturday and then a bit of increasing clouds on Sunday. Next week looks to be fairly wet, likely with thunderstorms, and cooler.

Easter weekend promises to be much warmer than normal with abundant sunshine and not so much wind. Next week looks to be fairly wet with cooling temperatures.
The gusty winds that helped fuel a fire danger Friday diminish by Saturday, and the weekend brings near-record temperatures. A pattern change next week returns rain chances to Minnesota.
Temperatures climb through the weekend, with isolated record highs possible early next week. Then a pattern shift ends our dry trend and brings widespread rain chances back.
Friday stays mostly sunny but turns even warmer thanks to gusty winds from the south.  Those winds also increase the fire risk.
Expect low ice years on Lake Superior to continue
This year, Lake Superior saw its lowest January ice levels in 48 years. While there will be outliers, scientists expect the trend to continue.
