Sometimes the aurora is a low, green arc sitting still on the horizon. Sometimes it visibly ripples across the sky, like moving pages of a book. Sometimes it pulses here, then there, then over there — like an ethereal game of whack-a-mole.

Hurricane Dorian is strengthening, will be major hurricane as it approaches Florida on Monday

We will enjoy some of the best weather in the country this Friday. The bulk of the holiday weekend will be nice, with rain chances in parts of Minnesota and western Wisconsin on one or two days. Florida continues to brace for Hurricane Dorian, which is expected to make landfall early next week.

It's not your imagination, it's been a cooler than usual August

More than half of the days in August have produced cooler than normal temperatures. But despite the cooler than normal readings for the state, Minnesota did not report the nation’s lowest temperature even once during the month.
