Temps in the 60s and 70s Tuesday, climbing to 80s by Thursday
Sunny skies and anomalous warmth are the headlines yet again. We’ll be about 5-15 degrees above normal Tuesday with highs in the 60s and 70s. Eighty-degree readings return Thursday.

Florida’s Gulf Coast is making intense preparations for Hurricane Milton, which is expected to bring a storm surge of 8-12 feet to the Tampa Bay area.
Cool start to the week. Very warm temperatures return midweek
It’s a chilly start to the week early Monday, but afternoon highs will be slightly above normal. Eighty-degree readings are back by Thursday and Friday in southern Minnesota. 
A temperate start to the work week, then possible record-breaking temperatures ahead
High pressure at the start of the work week will bring sunshine and above-seasonal temperatures. Expect 80-degree highs to return by the end of the week with no chances for precipitation in the forecast.
Seasonal temperatures for Sunday; warming trend this week
Temperatures will drop to the low 60s on Sunday, aligning with our seasonal average for early October. Winds will remain blustery, gusting over 30 mph. A warming trend is anticipated, with the possibility of record highs by Thursday.
Breezy conditions continue; cooler temperatures Sunday
Very gusty winds will persist from Saturday night into Sunday with the passage of a cold front. Clearing skies tonight will provide an opportunity for northern lights viewing. Highs on Sunday are expected to return to average, ranging from the lower to mid-60s.
Breezy, mild Saturday raises fire weather concerns
Breezy winds will accompany a dry cold front on Saturday. The combination of very dry conditions and gusty winds will raise fire weather concerns across the state.
Strong geomagnetic storm set to illuminate Minnesota's night sky
The northern lights will put on a spectacular show this weekend, following two powerful solar storms. One of these solar flares is the strongest we’ve seen in this solar cycle and the most powerful flare since 2017.
