Update on weekend flake chances; mild temps this week
Some areas could see flakes at times Saturday night and Sunday morning, with another snow opportunity on Monday. We have details on that, plus the temperature outlook for the coming week.
Nice weather Saturday; flake chance in some areas Sunday and Monday
Saturday will be the nicer day of the weekend in much of Minnesota. Some locations will see flakes at times late Saturday night into Sunday. Temperatures run a bit above normal this coming week.
Mild pattern continues; some snow showers possible this weekend
Friday will be a little cooler and we’ll have more clouds around for the afternoon into the weekend. A few snow showers are possible Saturday night. Looking back, Minnesota’s November was mild, as was the entire meteorological fall.
Cooler Friday with increasing clouds; some weekend snow showers
Friday will be a bit cooler but near normal with increasing clouds and light winds. Some of us will see some snow showers this weekend. Warmer than normal weather persists next week. 
Northern lights possible Thursday night; quiet weather Friday
We could see northern lights Thursday night, where clouds don’t get in the way. We have details on that, plus a look at our weather through the weekend.
Becoming more breezy Thursday and slightly cooler
A weak cold front is sweeping through southeast Minnesota, pulling in slightly cooler air today and increasing wind speeds. Temperatures will still be near or above normal into the weekend. 
Solar storms may bring northern lights, especially Thursday night
Coronal mass ejections can blast Earth’s magnetosphere with solar energy and excite different gasses like nitrogen and oxygen. The result can be vivid auroras in the nighttime sky. Keep an eye on the northern night sky the next two nights.
