Floods from torrential rainfall kill at least 31 in Somalia

Somali authorities say floods caused by torrential rainfall have killed at least 31 people in various parts of the country. Since October, floods have displaced nearly half a million people and disrupted the lives of over 1.2 million people.

Fire crews responded to the call at about 5 a.m. and found flames and thick smoke coming from the vacant Kmart department store at Lake and Nicollet, just west of Interstate 35W. The building was scheduled for demolition next March.
