Whether you realized it or not, this year was a big one for podcast news, and that’s mostly because of Spotify. The streaming giant bought up a couple podcast companies and struck podcasting deals with big names like Michelle Obama and Kim Kardashian.
But consolidation within an industry can be controversial and foretell more changes to come — which is exactly why we’re talking about it.
