DNR: New hunting rules aimed at stopping spread of CWD

The new rules are designed to prevent the spread of chronic wasting disease in wild deer. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says more hunters in more areas will have to provide a sample of their kill to check for CWD.

Officials urge caution following bear sightings near St. Paul

Reports suggest the animal has been spotted in North Oaks, White Bear Township and Polar Lakes Park, near the Tamarack Nature Center. It was spotted shortly after 6:30 Monday morning.

St. Paul’s streets will be cleaner with new greener city fleet

The city is rolling out 10 new vehicles, including a street sweeper and front-end loader, which will be the environmental equivalent of taking 20,000 cars off the road. Some of the replaced equipment is more than two decades old.

Duluth synagogue destroyed in fire; investigation underway

An early Monday morning fire destroyed a 120-year old synagogue belonging to the Adas Israel Congregation. One firefighter was injured. Authorities have yet to publicly pinpoint a cause, but say they have some idea of where the fire started.

Family, friends in mourning, seeking answers after man dies in Richfield police shooting

Brian Quinones promoted his new music album on Facebook around midday Saturday, and spent time with his son. But hours later Quinones was dead, fatally shot by police officers in Richfield after a vehicle pursuit he streamed live on Facebook, as his family desperately tried to reach him.
