On Sunday, members of the community —  including a descendant of the congregation — came out to First Presbyterian Church in Hastings to remember the historic church and acknowledge the legacy of racism that stoked the fire which burned the building.

Law enforcement said schools across Minnesota were the subject of calls alleging an active shooter or shooting Wednesday. The calls were believed to be “swatting,” which is when someone calls police to report a fake emergency at a real address.
