Commemorative street sign dedicated to Prince unveiled in downtown Minneapolis
The commemorative street sign was unveiled on Tuesday at the corner of First Avenue and Seventh Street. A crowd decked out in purple pride gathered at noon to celebrate the Minnesota legend just a week after a roughly 100-foot mural unveiling of Prince occurred down the street.

First steps made in Congress to honor pop superstar Prince
Minnesota's Congressional delegation on Monday is introducing a resolution to posthumously award the Congressional Gold Medal to pop superstar Prince, citing his "indelible mark on Minnesota and American culture," The Associated Press has learned.

A female white dove that was adored by legions of Prince fans has died. Divinity was one of the original doves Prince kept at his iconic Paisley Park compound. Officials at the mansion-turned-museum say her health had been declining due to age. At 28, Divinity surpassed the average lifespan of most doves.
