Allegations that Vikings running back Adrian Peterson injured one of his sons by spanking him with a tree branch are reviving a debate about corporal punishment.
Peterson was processed at the Montgomery County jail, near Houston, and released on $15,000 bond, according to a sheriff's office spokesman, Lt. Brady Fitzgerald. It wasn't immediately clear where he went afterward.
Peterson's lawyer confirmed the football star was indicted in Texas for reckless or negligent injury to a child in an incident involving Peterson's son.
