Once 'terrified' of ice fishing, Minn. man now carries on tradition

Ice fishing is old. You've seen the pictures. People for thousands of years have chopped a hole and waited for a fish to take a baited hook. Or they've stood silently, with their spear at the ready if they see a shadowy form move in the water.

Skeptics greet St. Paul's effort to turn golf courses over to private management

The Como and Phalen golf courses together lose about $400,000 every year. Prom Management Group, the Oakdale-based catering firm that has offered to pay the city at least $65,000 dollars a year to take over the operations, promises to erase that deficit.

Vikings pick Mike Zimmer as new coach

Zimmer will replace Leslie Frazier, who was fired after the team finished 5-10-1 this season. Zimmer will be the ninth head coach in the franchise's 54-year history, according to reports that emerged Wednesday.

St. Paul hires private firm to manage Como, Phalen golf courses

Minnesota Supreme Court wants to see Vikings stadium bond arguments
