NFL players return to work

The NFL cleared the way for some of its basic football operations to begin at 8 a.m. EDT Friday, five days after a federal judge declared the lockout illegal and nearly seven weeks after it began.

Vikings stadium funding counts on Twins merchandise sales

Judge denies NFL request to freeze lockout ruling

Judge orders end to NFL lockout, league to appeal

Seven weeks into the NFL lockout, players have an early triumph over the owners in court. U.S. District Judge Susan Richard Nelson ordered an immediate end to the lockout Monday, but the owners immediately filed notice of their intent to appeal the decision.

Twins beat Indians 4-3 to take series

Ever so gradually, the Minnesota Twins are finally starting to show signs of the team that was expected to contend for a third straight division title. A two-run double in the seventh inning that lifted the Twins to a 4-3 victory over the Cleveland Indians on Sunday, Minnesota's third straight win after a putrid start.
