Pavano falters as Red Sox beat Twins 9-5

Adrian Gonzalez homered, Kevin Youkilis scored four runs and Daisuke Matsuzaka settled down to pitch six innings after a rough first, leading the Boston Red Sox to a 9-5 victory over the Minnesota Twins on Sunday.

Twins pound Red Sox 9-2

The Twins had one of their best offensive nights of the season. Their 12 hits were one short of their season high and the nine runs were also one less than their most this year.

Could Minneapolis afford to pay for a Vikings stadium?

Minneapolis officials are pondering whether to make a bid for the city to help build a new stadium for the Minnesota Vikings. The question is whether the city can afford it. It already has some of the highest sales, hotel, food and car rental taxes compared to other cities that host NFL teams.
