Heat Wave Day #6
Another 90+ day today makes six in a row, the longest stretch of 90s this summer. That makes 15 days of 90 degree heat this summer above the average of 13 days.
A weak frontal boundary is kicking off scattered showers and thunderstorms through tonight. There is a slight risk a few of the storms will pack high winds and hail.

The best chance for any severe storms will be north of the metro. Here's the risk area from NOAA.

The good news? The heat advisory finally ends at 9 p.m. tonight.

Two more hot days
Temps will push 90 again Friday and Saturday before a cool front arrives with our next best chance of rain Saturday night. We'll enjoy temps back into the 70s...and comfy dew points in the 40s and 50s by Labor Day.
