It’s been a cold start to November following a warmer-than-average and wet October in Minnesota.
Around the state, there were reported temperatures of 10-12 degrees colder than average on Wednesday and Thursday; Brimson in St. Louis County had the first sub-zero temperature of the season on Wednesday.
The mild and soggy autumn helped extend the gardening season, according to retired meteorologist and climatologist Mark Seeley. He spoke with MPR News Host Cathy Wurzer about easing drought conditions, the chilly temps and a look back at 90-degree October days in their weekly weather chat.
