September temperatures are running cooler than normal, with more than 30 climate stations in northern Minnesota reporting morning lows around 30 degrees Fahrenheit.
“Like so many, I've been breaking out the sweaters and the sweatshirts and stuff this week,” said meteorologist and climatologist Mark Seeley.
However, that chill isn’t expected to last long. Above normal daily temperatures are expected to return by the second week of September.
