December theme seems to be 'Let It Snow'

Out of the first two weeks of December, nearly half of the days have had some form of measurable snowfall.

“I don't believe there's been any records amounts set, but certainly persistence,” climatologist and meteorologist Mark Seeley said.

And that snow is expected to continue throughout the month. Some climate stations have reported totals for the month so far at over 12 inches. That includes places like Litchfield, Ottertail and St. Joseph in central Minneosta.

Those hoping for a white Christmas likely won’t have to hold their breath, as snow is expected to continue accumulating in the next couple of weeks.
