January has had a lot of precipitation already — and much of it hasn’t been snow.
“Lots of freezing rain, lots of freezing fog and lots of moisture, lots of people having difficulty with all the ice that has persisted,” said Mark Seeley, a climatologist and meteorologist.
All that freezing across the landscape comes from temperatures across the state consistently hovering around the freezing mark.
Expect more thawing Monday and Tuesday, as daytime temperatures may climb into the 40s.
