Minnesota temperatures swung from freezing to moderate in the first week of February. Within the first days of the month the state had snowfall along with temps that ranged from minus 27 degrees Fahrenheit in the north to 51 degrees in the south.
“All kinds of mixed weather elements,” said meteorologist and climatologist Mark Seeley.
For now, models are showing that above-normal temperatures will prevail over the state. It’s possible that it will get as high as 50 degrees again before the month is over.
