Winter storm warnings continue in northern Minnesota

Much of northern Minnesota started March with temperatures dipping below zero degrees, but now the state is moving toward more springlike temperatures. 

“March is known historically as one of our most variable months,” climatologist and meteorologist Mark Seeley said. “Roller coaster rides in temperature are not uncommon at all.”

That roller coaster is expected to take a dip on Saturday with snow and rain forecast for portions of the state. Wind speeds are also expected to pick up just before warming up again on Monday and Tuesday.
